Thomas J. Watson

Thomas J. Watson
Thomas John Watson, Sr. (February 17, 1874 – June 19, 1956) is considered to be the founder of International Business Machines (IBM). He was one of the richest men of his time and called the world's greatest salesman when he died.

IBM的创始人是一个伟大的salesman,Microsoft的创始人Bill Gates准确的说是一个出色的programmer,天才的salesman。

What's the essence of salesman that makes them a founder?

...He looks great, dresses well, smiles easily, drives a snappy car. He’s glib, a wonderful raconteur full of new jokes, a great networker. Some people say he’s not very deep, but could that possibly be because they’re a bit jealous? He does seem rather thick-skinned though, for nothing appears to stop him from pursuing the sale.

上面的He只能是一个成功的推销员,而一个能成为founder的great salesman可能不但要具备这些素质,还有更重要的一点。 What is that? Everyone has his own answer.

Don't wait.

You mean your answer is to get down to working immediately?

Got up and go is not a bad answer, maybe .
